This poster is an offset lithograph from 1979, designed by Andy Warhol for his exhibition at Denise René Hans Meyer Gallery in Düsseldorf. It's design was based on Warhol's American Indian series of paintings and drawings of Native American civil rights activist, Russel Means.

The portrait depicts Russel Means, an American Indian rights activist and member of the American Indian Movement. Warhol’s portraits of Russel Means have become an emblem of the crises of contemporary America and the importance of its minorities.
