Warho™ Brillo Boxes

Artist: WarHo™

Year: 2026

Medium: Screenprint with acrylic ink on plywood

Edition: Open Edition

Size: 17 x 17 x 14 in.

Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Brillo Boxes (1964), these replicas mimic the original Warholian technique of silkscreening, preserving the graphics that defined mid-century American advertising.

The design itself—originally created by commercial artist James Harvey—was never meant for the gallery. Yet through repetition, scale, and context, Warhol elevated this familiar packaging into a sculptural icon, collapsing the boundary between commerce and fine art.

In that same spirit, Warho™ Brillo Boxes invite us to reconsider what art is. Removed from its original context and placed within a curated space, the box shifts from a disposable container to an object of contemplation. Its clean typography and bold color pattern speak to a culture shaped by branding and mass production.

By recreating this form, Warho™ continues the conversation Warhol once began.
